We are seeking highly motivated PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows to join our rapidly growing lab at the Université de Montréal in Montréal, QC, Canada.
The lab brings together independent and critical thinkers with a passion for working at the intersection of computational and systems biology. By exploiting the large amount of available genomic data and access to cutting-edge systems biology methodology, we aim to answer fundamental open questions about regulatory mechanisms that support protein folding and proteome integrity, as well as how they integrate at the systems level.
The ideal candidate will bring a background in computational biology or related quantitative field including genomics, systems biology, computer science or engineering together with strong programming skills. A suitable project will be developed together with the successful candidate and may include a wet-lab component and/or close interaction with our experimental collaborators.
Montréal is bilingual, and one of the most diverse and exciting yet affordable cities. A strong core of genomics labs across four major universities and numerous affiliated research institutes offers a premier scientific environment with many opportunities for collaboration and interaction. The official language of the Université de Montréal is French, but the lab operates in English.
Interested candidates are invited to apply by sending a short cover letter, their curriculum vitae, and contact information of at least two referees to firstname.lastname@example.org. Research and training opportunities regularly also exist for internship students who should inquire about current openings with a letter of motivation, their curriculum vitae, and their most recent transcript.
